The Green Bay Packers, fresh off a 45-31 loss to the eventual NFC Champion San Francisco 49ers, have interest in free agent Steven Jackson, according to ESPN’s John Clayton.
Steven Jackson, the powerhouse running back of the St. Louis Rams said he was considering retirement on the NFL Network on Friday.
While many NFL fans were keeping an eye on Adrian Peterson to see whether or not he’d break Eric Dickerson‘s rushing record, Rams RB Steven Jackson made a little history of his own.
Yesterday, Jackson became only the sixth player in NFL history to rush for over 1,000 yards for eight consecutive seasons. Jackson joined legendary running backs Thurman Thomas, Curtis Martin, Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, and LaDainian Tomlinson as the only players to accomplish this feat.
