Arizona Cardinals receiver Michael Floyd has been making a big leap this offseason, according to azcardinals.com. Floyd, the highly touted pass catcher out of Notre Dame, was nothing more than decent for the entirety of last season.
However, change are afoot in Glendale, as the Cardinals brought in a new coach in Bruce Arians and will have an open quarterback competition between Carson Palmer, Drew Stanton and Ryan Lindley.
The likely winner, luckily for Floyd, will be Palmer due to his experience in the NFL. However, Michael Floyd won’t be the only receiver on the team looking for redemption. Larry Fitzgerald, the team leader for years, had an off year as he only brought in 4 touchdown passes.
Things are looking up for both of the pass catchers, though. An inconsistent quarterback trio formed by Kevin Kolb, John Skelton and Ryan Lindley is all but gone, as Lindley will most likely be cut.
Floyd will certainly look to get more time on the field, and maybe even haul in more than a couple touchdown catches this upcoming season.
