Colts Interested In Ravens LB Paul Kruger; Good Move For Indy

According to ESPN’s Ed Werder the Colts will aggressively pursue LB Paul Kruger during free agency.

Per Werder, the Browns are definitely going to pursue Kruger but will face intense competition from the Colts.

The Colts will look to add Kruger to replace former Colt Dwight Freeney, having Kruger line up opposite to Robert Mathis.

In a team who lacked to get to the quarterback much last season with 32 sacks, adding Kruger is a good move and can be a valuable piece to the young defense led by Chuck Pagano who was Kruger’s defensive coordinator in Baltimore.

In 2012 Kruger led the Baltimore Ravens in sacks with nine, recorded 42 total tackles, forced one fumble and recorded one interception.

With over $40 million cap space for GM Ryan Grigson to use in free agency, adding Kruger makes sense as he fits the 3-4 defense and is a position of need for the Colts after the departure of Freeney.
