Georgia QB Aaron Murray to Return for Senior Season; Bad Move for his NFL Draft Stock

Georgia QB Aaron Murray will return for his senior season with the Bulldogs, according to his Twitter account.

Murray threw for 3,893 yards last season with 36 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Returning for a senior season has not helped USC QB Matt Barkley, who’s draft stock has lowered, and will not help Murray, a quarterback who has had great success this season and should enter the NFL Draft.

Since he is returning to help the Bulldogs win a championship, he still will face hard hitting SEC defensive’s which will pose a risk for injury for a small quarterback like the Georgia signal caller who is only 6 foot 1 and 210 pounds.

This year’s quarterback talent for the NFL Draft is worse than next year’s talent. The QB’s for the 2014 NFL Draft include; Logan Thomas, Teddy Bridgewater, Keith Price, James Franklin, Possibly Tyler Bray, and Johnny Manziel. If Aaron Murray entered this year he would likely be a second or third round pick. While if he entered next year he could become a first rounder but chances are, based on recent history, he’ll lower his draft stock.
